Origins
A quality source.

The majority of our sauna wood grows in Finland – where the rawness of the north strengthens the trees, allowing the trunks to slowly flourish and giving them a high fibre density. Our favourite is the Finnish polar pine with its near-knotless wood and unmistakable fragrance. Really good things come to those who wait. Since the company was founded, we have been working closely and happily with the same Finnish wood supplier – whose crop is PEFC-certified. A programme aimed at improving the use and management of forests worldwide.

Swiss made
Economically worthwhile.

If 60% of production takes place in Switzerland, a product may call itself Swiss Made. Be sure: from a Küng sauna or a natural herbal steam bath, the red and white cross smiles out of conviction. Our craft comes from here, assembly and service are carried out worldwide exclusively by our own team. Right: We get the wood from the forests of Finland because it has the right properties. But we in Altendorf SZ deliver, test, store, carpenter and finally assemble it for you. In our manufactory in Hochdorf, the high-quality material WSP™ is processed, which freely represents an ideal material in form and colour for demanding and individual objects. In this way we can respond to every wish and create the unique pieces for which we are known.

Sustainability
Proactive rather than inactive.

As a sauna manufacturer, we can also do a lot for the environment and energy efficiency. That's why strict quality standards apply to the choice of wood, the processing and also the operation of the sauna. We control energy consumption with insulated cabin covers and a sophisticated, multi-layer structure. This stores the heat and releases it evenly into the interior. In addition, the heating time of the sauna is shortened with appropriate stove technology. VAPORSANA® technology also uses patented Swiss technology to generate the necessary steam with minimal energy and water consumption. We do without fossil fuels. Instead, Küng processes all residual wood into pellets, which heat our company building in Altendorf.
