First-class architecture for deep relaxation

Nestled amidst Schaffhausen’s bustling Old Town lies an Oriental oasis of well-being: spanning 1,200 m2, asia spa offers a world of warmth and water. Upon entering the spa, a rippling stream flowing deeper and deeper into a realm of relaxation takes guests past treatment rooms for cosmetic procedures and massages to pools, steam baths and a spacious sauna landscape. 

From Japan to Finland
The sauna area is dedicated to the element of fire: warm lighting, natural stone tiles, bamboo sticks and various woods create a feel-good atmosphere in the five different tailor-made saunas from Küng. In keeping with the name of the spa are the Asian-style, primeval forest green mosaic tiles in the steam baths. Special Oriental saunas and rituals complete the interior concept. The transition from East to West is created by the bright, urban-style fitness area featuring the latest equipment on the second floor. 

 

Responsible for this oasis of well-being are distinguished Hamburg architects geising + böker, who focused on fluid spatial sequences and the Oriental principle of ying and yang.
